Description of Tours

  1. South Carolina Aquarium and Old Historic Charleston. The South Carolina Aquarium depicts rushing mountain streams, rivers, lakes, salt marshes and the still depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Explore South Carolina’s fascinatingly diverse aquatic habitats. Experience ten thousand magical creatures from colorful songbirds to mysterious sharks; graceful rays to playful otters. Located on historic Charleston Harbor; the South Carolina Aquarium is the perfect complement to Charleston’s other attractions. Renowned as America’s most beautifully preserved city, Charleston offers a world rich with history, and culture as well as superb golf, fine dining and miles of uncrowded beaches.   2. This is a ten-hour tour departing Myrtle Beach at 7:30 a. m. and returning at approximately 5:30 p. m In addition to your visit to the aquarium, your bus will tour Old Historic Charleston. The cost per person is $40.00, which includes admission to the aquarium, transportation, lunch and refreshments (Minimum-40 and Maximum-120).

  3. Brookgreen Gardens
  4. Brookgreen Gardens has introduced visitors from around the world to an enchanting and compelling showcase of art and nature. The gardens are set on a 300-acre parcel in the heart of a 9,100-acre preserve on the South Carolina coast that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to historic ricefields bordering the Waccamaw River.

    Brookgreen Gardens is the country’s first sculpture garden where more than 500 works of American figurative sculpture are displayed throughout one of the most beautiful public gardens in the Southeast. Brookgreen is located on U.S. Hwy 17 South between Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island, South Carolina-about 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach and 90 minutes north of Charleston.     The duration of the tour from Myrtle Beach, to Brookgreen Gardens and return is approximately 8 hours. The tour bus departs at 8:00 a. m. and returns at 4:00 p. m. The cost per person is $25. which includes admission, transportation, lunch and refreshments (Minimum-40 and Maximum-120).

4. Riverboat Cruises

There are no conference scheduled cruises; however, you may wish to select from the following list. These cruises are located approximately 15 minutes from the conference center.

Sightseeing Cruise- one and half-hour duration, the history and heritage of the river road will unfold with a narration, while the entertainment delights all ages! Stroll freely on the bow to capture a cool breeze or relax in climate controlled comfort.

Sunset cruise-What a special way to end the day and begin the evening aboard this two-hour cruise. Enjoy a panoramic view of a breathtaking sunset over the water, live entertainment and the snack bar for favorite beverage or snack.

Also several other types of cruises are available such as the Lunch Cruise, Captains Dinner Cruise, Dinner & Show at Alabama Theatre Cruise and Cruise to Southport, North Carolina.

Note! The several of the cruises are available in the evenings and nights. Also, transportation will be available from the Kingston Plantation Hotel to Barefoot Landing upon request for any of the cruises and will take approximately 15 minutes.
